About my meditation practice and stuff blog…
I teach and practice mindfulness meditation, which really means I practice both mindfulness and metta (loving-kindness). Also I’ve practiced Vedic meditation. Sometimes those different meditation techniques are told that they don’t go together or people have strong opinions about them… Well, I’m figuring it out myself.
I’m a native of Japan. My family is pretty standard Buddhism/ Shintoism family. My favorite thing was when our family Shingon monk came and chanted because I got special sweets afterwards. I went to pretty strict ethic school in Japan so that’s that.
Through meditation practice here in the US, I’m finding out more about my home country and culture and I love it!!!
